KD 17 million in dues
The communications ministry said it has collected KD 17 million in ministry dues. It said most of the debt was accumulated on active and inactive phones for years. The ministry said it formed a committee to collect debt due to the ministry, whether from ministry employees, companies or individuals. It said the committee worked in coordination with concerned ministries such as the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Public Authority for Civil Information, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Justice Ministry to obtain subscribers’ data who did not pay their subscription fees. The ministry said debts recorded on disconnected lines will remain until they are paid in full, even if tens of years pass.
