KUWAIT: Lawyer Muhannad Al-Sayer registered yesterday to run for parliament from the third constituency. In a statement to the press after announcing his candidacy, Sayer highlighted the need for politicians, and parliament hopefuls in particular, to take “serious and urgent steps to achieve development, put an end to corruption and hold accountable those who violated people’s rights and public funds.”

Furthermore, Sayer urged voters to contribute not only through their votes, but also through sharing their visions and ideas “to help elevate the level of parliamentary work, and enforce the law and constitutional articles according to a fair political system that eliminates discrimination and guarantees equality.”
