Unprecedented consumption

The governor, in collaboration with Head of Power and Water Preservation Committee Ali Al Aidi, underscored the significance of generating awareness on conserving water and electricity, citing ongoing initiatives to suppress rampant consumption.

Among those initiatives is a national strategy aimed at assessing the various electricity and water needs of different public institutions such as schools, mosques and cooperative societies, Aidi said. Numeric data concerning power and water consumption will be collected from these institutions, which would help gauge how much power and water is needed.

Moreover, the aim of such initiatives is to increase water and power capacities with priority given to mosques, schools, co-ops as well as residential buildings. The ultimate goal of these ongoing measures is to ensure the prosperity of Kuwait, Aidi added. – KUNA
