KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health (MoH) registered yesterday 231 additional COVID-19 cases in a span of 24 hours, increasing the total number of infections to 146,449, while one new death recorded in the same period raised the death toll to 912. Earlier, the ministry confirmed 263 fresh recovery cases, which brought the total to 142,357 recoveries so far.

Meanwhile, active cases amounted to 3,180 with 57 of them in intensive care units, MoH’s spokesman Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said. Health authorities conducted 4,963 swab tests in the last 24 hours raising the total to 1,185,625, he revealed. Dr Sanad urged everyone in Kuwait to adhere to precautionary measures against the virus. – KUNA
