KUWAIT: A citizen was arrested trading in unlicensed weapons. The arrest was made when an undercover went to buy a 9mm browning pistol for KD 800 and the suspect was arrested during the exchange. Police found several rounds of ammunition at his home.

Waha, Hawally house firess
Fire broke out in a diwaniya and store in a home in Waha. Jahra firemen dealt with the fire and no injuries were reported. In another incident, a fire broke out in a Hawally building in a wooden chalet. The fire was put out without injuries.

Sons ‘lost at sea’ found
A citizen told central operations that he lost his sons aboard a boat. The father said he was in contact with his sons and that they do not know their location, though they left Qaroah Island and were heading to Kheiran, and lost their way when they ran out of fuel. The sons were contacted and their location was determined through the Coast Guard radar network and found they were inside Saudi Arabia’s territorial waters. Saudi border guards were informed, so they went in search and four hours later, the boat was found and the four citizens were in good health.

Infant abandoned
Authorities are conducting investigations to identify the person who left a two-day-old baby girl under a building in searing 45+ C degree heat.

Soldier stabbed
Ahmadi prosecutor charged a citizen with attempted murder for stabbing a soldier on his head with a knife. A security source said the soldier was rushed to Adan hospital, while the suspect is being sought by police.

Police insulted
A police sergeant accused a British expatriate of insulting him when he issued her a traffic ticket. The police added the suspect may have been drunk at that time.

KD 9,000 robbery
A Syrian man told Meidan Hawally police that KD 9,000 and gold were stolen from a safe inside his house. Similarly, another Syrian told Nugra police that KD 4,000 was stolen from his house.

Fatal crash
Two citizens were killed when their vehicle turned over on Sixth Ring Road. The two were 22 and 23 years in age. An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances behind the accident.
