Yes your highness, Kuwait is too tough for terrorism

bowairKuwait was recently targeted by the largest terrorist attack since Saddam’s invasion in 1990. The horrible incident involved an IS suicide bomber blowing himself amongst worshippers at Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Sawaber, killing at least 26 people and injuring 227.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was the first to rush to the scene despite warnings that the place was still too dangerous for him to visit. “Those are my children,” he said with tears in his eyes.

The terrorists forgot all about the sacredness of Fridays in a mosque where 2,000 worshippers where performing the noon prayer.

Too much blood was shed and Kuwait stood firmly united against all attempts of division. Too many stories and eyewitnesses spoke of what happened at Al-Sadiq mosque, but according to an MP who was praying at the mosque, “the explosion took place just before we ended prayers when everybody was prostrating. We heard someone calling Allah, which is usually said to make the imam slow down.

Seconds after that, we heard the explosion in the back rows”. Martyrs had a very awe-inspiring funeral with all of Kuwait mourning their deaths. One of the sad scenes was that of a young man crying while interior ministry officials besides him were trying to console him. “He was my friend, brother and father,” the young man wept.
