Woman, child hurt in Sabah Al-Ahmad City fire

KUWAIT: Kout and Wafra fire stations responded to a call about a fire in building in Sabah Al-Ahmad City. A man, three women and three children were trapped in the bedroom on the first floor because of the fire, which started in the kitchen. The family was rescued and the fire put out. A woman and a child suffered smoke inhalation and were treated onsite. Separately, a fire broke out in a makeshift structure at an Abdaly farm. Abdaly fire center responded and put out the blaze. No injuries were reported. In another case, a fire in a Jleeb building prompted Jleeb fire station to respond, backed by Ardiya fire station. The fire was put out quickly without injuries.

Municipality campaign
Farwaniya public cleanliness and road occupancy department carried out a campaign targeting debris and scrap, in which they hauled 5,168 cubic meters, washed 1,350 garbage dumpsters of various sizes, replaced 81 containers and removed nine abandoned cars.
