Speaker, Interior Minister condemn Bahrain’s blast

KUWAIT: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem has cabled his Bahraini counterpart Ahmad Bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla and Shura Council Chairman Ali Bin Saleh Al-Saleh expressing condolences on death of citizens in the terrorist blast that happened in Sirta town. The parliament speaker condemned the terrorist act, affirming solidarity with the Bahraini people in face of any person who may seek to undermine the country’s security and stability. This criminal act contradicts with heavenly doctrines and human race’s principles, he said in the cable, praying for souls of the deceased and wishing quick recovery for the injured.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah yesterday condemned the terrorist blast which killed and wounded a number of policemen who were performing their duties. Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled addressed a cable of condolences to his Bahraini counterpart, Sheikh Rashed Abdullah Al-Khalifa, condemning the terrorist explosion and affirming Kuwait’s support for brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain in face of any bid targeting its security and stability. The minister prayed for soul of the victims, wished quick recovery for the injured and hoped the Kingdom would witness security and stability. Manama announced on Tuesday that two policemen were killed and a third was wounded in a bomb blast in Sitra south of the capital. — KUNA
