Policeman forges documents to give nephew citizenship

KUWAIT: A police officer was arrested and referred to the public prosecution on charges of forging official documents, said security sources. Case papers indicate that a first lieutenant brought his pregnant sister back to Kuwait from Saudi Arabia after her husband divorced her. The sources added that the officer admitted his sister to hospital under his wife’s name and thus registered the child under his name so that the baby could get Kuwaiti citizenship.
