KUWAIT: Kuwait Shooting Sport delegation to the 18th Asian games received a heroes welcome at Kuwait International Airport.

Gold medallist in the skeet even Mansour Al-Rasheedi dedicated the achievement to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Kuwait people.

He said it is hard to describe how happy he was to see Kuwait flag at the games with the national anthem being played after the sports suspension was lifted by the IOC.
He said the competition was very hard besides the bad weather.

Acting Director General of Sports Public Authority Sheikh Humoud Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said the authority is committed to support and care for all athletes who participate abroad under the Kuwait flag.

Meanwhile, President of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations Eng Duaij Al-Otaibi said this achievement has a special feeling because of the late participation after lifting the sports suspension. He said this caused delays in licensing the arms besides technical and administrative difficulties.

He said the government support of Kuwait shooting sport is an important factor in its outstanding performance and winning major championships.
