Interior Minister tackles cooperation with British envoy

KUWAIT: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah discussed yesterday with British Ambassador to Kuwait Michael Davenport ways of bolstering cooperation. Minister Jarrah affirmed on the strong relations between the two countries, stressing importance on continuing such cooperation, particularly in the security field, the Public Relations and Media office of the Interior ministry said in a press release. The statement added the two sides also delved into issues of mutual concern and ways to develop and boost bilateral relations.

Meanwhile, Chief of the General Staff of Kuwait’s armed forces Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Khadher met separately with French and Italian military personnel, discussing with them ways to bolster defensive cooperation. The army’s public relations department said Lieutenant General Khadher and the foreign military officials also touched on issues of mutual concerns. Kuwaiti and foreign military staff attended the meetings. – KUNA
