Efforts to increase Kuwaiti laborers in private sector

KUWAIT: Informed sources said the ministerial committee dealing with the demographic structure is set to hold a meeting next week to discuss views to start procedures to implement the executive roadmap that is seeking correction of the population imbalance in Kuwait and getting rid of marginal labor in Kuwait. Sources said that Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh will chair the meeting, and recommendations will be sent to the Council of Ministers for approval. Sources said the first results of this meeting is correcting percentages of Kuwaiti labor in the private sector, as the percentage of Kuwaitis will be raised to 90 percent in banks, communications and administrative jobs.

Saad Al-Abdullah Road
The Public Authority for Roads and Transport has completed 53 percent of the new segment of Saad Al-Abdullah Road. Project’s manager Jaber Al-Qallaf said huge progress has been made in the project at a cost of KD 97.960 million.
