Drinkers to be deported

KUWAIT: Fifteen Sri Lankans are being held pending deportation after being arrested for drunkenness by Maidan Hawally police. The suspects gathered in a room in Maidan Hawally where they were drinking. As they grew rowdy and disturbed residents, police were called. The 15 were arrested and face legal action and deportation.

Woman attempts suicide
A woman attempted suicide by ingesting a mixture of tablets at her sister’s residence in Fintas. The woman was rushed to Adan Hospital where she was rescued. The Egyptian woman became ill and lost consciousness, so her brother-in-law took her to Adan hospital. Police are investigating an attempted suicide case, and the woman will be questioned when she recovers.

Drug users arrested
