Bangladeshi expat arrested for bribing official to release three Filipinas

KUWAIT: Policemen arrested a Bangladeshi expat for attempting to bribe the secretary of Jahra security director to release three women arrested in violation of residency law. The suspect met secretary of Col Waleed Shihab and pleaded to release the three Filipinas, offering him KD 1,500. He was arrested while giving part of the bribe.

Couple suspected
An expat was arrested at the Palace of Justice when he was reported by other people there for laughing and behaving suspiciously with a girl in one of the corridors. Security men caught the two, but did not find anything illegal with them. The man was arrest for being wanted on a civil case and was sent to concerned authorities. —Al-Rai
