Amir receives letter from Qatar’s Sheikh Tamim

Sheikh Sabah commended for efforts to enhance GCC solidarity

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah meets with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Bayan Palace yesterday. — KUNA

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received yesterday a letter of thanks from Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. In the letter, Qatar’s Amir expressed appreciation of hospitality shown during the GCC 38th summit Kuwait hosted on Tuesday. He also commended His Highness the Amir’s efforts to enhance cooperation and solidarity among the GCC Member States, as well as reinforcing basis of security and stability in the region.
In addition, Sheikh Tamim stressed that Qatar would spare no effort pursuing whatever that may serve the interests of the Gulf people, as well as the Arab and Muslim nations. He prayed to Allah Almighty to bless His Highness the Amir with perpetual well-being, and to achieve the aspired progress and prosperity for Kuwait under his wise leadership. In return, His Highness the Amir sent a cable to the Qatari Amir thanking him for his warm sentiments, and praying for his everlasting well-being and prosperity for the Qatari people, as well as for the entire GCC.

Great pride
His Highness the Amir had received a letter on Tuesday from His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in which he congratulated His Highness the Amir on the success of the GCC Summit. His Highness Sheikh Nawaf said that the Kuwaiti people felt proud of His Highness the Amir’s keenness on bolstering the unity and solidarity amongst the GCC peoples. His Highness Crown Prince expressed wishes of good health to His Highness Sheikh Sabah, hoping that Kuwait would continue to prosper and flourish. His Highness the Amir replied by thanking His Highness the Crown Prince for his good sentiment on the occasion of the 38th GCC summit. His Highness the Amir hailed the constructive decisions which emerged from the summit which he hoped would consolidate the blessed march of the GCC and to achieve more accomplishments and prosperity.

His Highness the Crown Prince also congratulated several state officials on the success of the summit, thanking them on their efforts during the event. His Highness the Crown Prince wished the officials evermore success in future events under the guidelines of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Highness the Crown Prince sent cables to Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the KNG Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Minister of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Minister of Information Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, and Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi.
