KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday former National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem, former Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. The meeting is part of the current traditional consultations conducted to appoint the new prime minister. His Highness the Amir earlier met with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and later with First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince met with Ghanem, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.

In other news, His Highness the Amir received a letter from Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, which was delivered by the Bahraini Ambassador to Kuwait, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The letter included an invitation to His Highness the Amir to attend the 37th session of the GCC’s supreme council and the GCC summit that will be held next month in Manama with the participation of the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister, Theresa May. Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah attended the meeting. – KUNA
