Amir condemns terrorist attack in Turkish town

amirKUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah strongly condemned a terrorist bomb attack in the Turkish town of Suruc, which killed at least 30 people and injured many others. In a cable of condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan late Monday, His Highness the Amir reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm rejection to “this criminal act,” which contravened with heavenly faiths and human values.

His Highness the Amir said Kuwait supported all measures adopted by Turkey to confront these terrorist acts, which aimed at undermining security and stability of the country. He also supported the international community’s fight against terrorism. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to President Erdogan over the terrorist attack in Suruc. Hi s Highness Sheikh Nawaf extended condolences to the families of the victims, and wished speedy recovery for the injured. His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent a similar cable.

Kuwait had condemned the recent terrorist attack that targeted a cultural centre in the Turkish city of Suruc, a Foreign Ministry source said. The source affirmed that Kuwait stands by Turkey and supports all its efforts in fighting terrorism. It also reiterated Kuwait’s stance against all forms for ter rorist acts. The source expressed its deepest sorrows to the fallen victims of the attack and speedy recovery to the injured. —
