MP criticizes candidates naturalization delay

KUWAIT: MP Askar Al-Enezi urged Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammed Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah to end the sufferings of Kuwaiti mothers impatiently waiting to have their children granted Kuwaiti citizenship. “We were surprised that only eight out of hundreds were granted citizenship... is it reasonable that only those eight met the required conditions?” he wondered

Syria donations MP Saleh Ashour once more criticized the Wathakker Center and former MP Mohammed Hayef for violating the rules regarding the collection of donations for the Syrian people. In an inquiry made to the interior minister, Ashour stressed that the center had illegally fixed a huge banner along Fahaheel expressway calling for donations for the Syrians. “Is that call legal and was it licensed?” he asked. Ashour also stressed that on Hayef ’s website, Hayef called for collecting donations to arm and equip ‘warriors’ in Syria and inquired if the interior ministry had taken any legal measures against such an illegal announcement.

New bridges The Ministry of Public Works Assistant Undersecretary for Roads Ahmad Al- Hassan said that 31 percent of the Nuwaiseeb Highway U-turns Project was so far finished. Hassan also said that four bridges would be finished by the end of the year and four others would be finished by the middle of next year

Non-residential projects Kuwait Municipality recently denied handing over lands in Khaitan, West Hadiya, Abu Halifa and Sulaibikhat over to the Housing Public Authority to be used for building new residential projects. The Municipality explained that Blocks Three and Four in Khaitan, which had been bought by the Municipality might be used in projects other than residential ones.
