Fugitive drives under the influence

KUWAIT: A citizen was recently arrested for driving through a red traffic light, said security sources. The man was found driving under the influence of drugs, and was discovered to be wanted for arrest over seven different cases, the sources added.

Officer insulted A traffic policeman reported that a citizen who he had ticketed for a traffic violation insulted him and refused to show his driver’s license and registration before he drove off from the scene. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Public indecency Mubarak Al-Kabeer security forces recently arrested a citizen and his girlfriend while they were sharing a ‘moment of intimacy’ inside his vehicle in a parking, as described by a security source. They were charged with public indecency.

Roommates fight An Egyptian man recently sustained head injuries in a fight with his compatriot roommate, said security sources. Case papers indicate that a man reported to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station with a medical report of head injuries he said he received from his roommate. The man explained that he was sleeping when his roommate was watching TV putting the volume up too high. When he asked him to keep it down, they both argued before their argument escalated into a fight. A case was field and further investigations are in progress.

Car theft A citizen reported that someone stole his vehicle when he left it after it had broken down along the fifth ring road opposite Jabriya. The man said that he had left his sports-utility-vehicle (SUV) when it broke down and went to fetch technical help, but it was nowhere to be found when he returned.

KD 15,000 robbery An Indian man living in Salmiya reported that unidentified robbers had broken into his apartment and stole KD 3000 in cash, 250 grams of gold, a diamond necklace and a diamond watch. The man estimated the stolen items value at KD 15,000. A case was filed and investigations are ongoing. A building janitor also reported that someone had broken into his room and stolen KD 2,160 in cash. The man explained that the money was part of the rent he had just collected.
