A while ago, electricity was disconnected for only one hour, but that was enough to fill all social media networks with grumbling and complaints as if it is impossible for us to suffer from blackouts and that this does not happen in most countries. We seem to keep forgetting that even planets and stars that are controlled and run by divine powers suffer from eclipses.

In addition, those planets may suffer from natural disasters such as floods, torrents and earthquakes. If only those complainers would remember that they themselves are but individual parts of a larger system and focus more on selfreform, things would be far much better for everyone. We are all parts and segments of a larger system and if these parts are good enough, the entire system will be so.

If only we scrutinize each price of information we receive through social media before sharing it with others, we would then have less criticism, lies and rumors. Many Internet stories are mere lies and rumors that have been viciously and mercilessly designed for evil reasons. Just like satisfaction, exasperation is a collective mental state that may dominate an entire society. One may find a society that is full of satisfaction, acceptance, tolerance and busy despite poverty and natural disasters.

On the other hand, a society like ours here in Kuwait is mainly dominated by grumbling, dissatisfaction and complaining. Many of the citizens have become experts in expressing malcontent, grumpiness and dissatisfaction, focusing only on the dark side of things despite its insignificance compared to the bright ones in an oil-rich state that provides its ‘grumbling’ citizens with all forms of free care!
