KUWAIT: Drug enforcement agents arrested a gang of three people who were charged with possession of drugs. Earlier information was received by assistant undersecretary Lt General Abdul Hameed Al Awadhi about an Asian gang consisting of three persons who were selling drugs. A team was formed to arrest gang members after verifying the information and receiving necessary legal permission. Following several days of investigating it was learned that the suspects were Asian expats who were assigned specific areas where they sold their drugs.

After the first suspect was arrested near his work place, a search of his car found 100 grams of heroin, 300 pills of various drugs along with 10 grams of additional drugs. During his interrogation, the suspect confessed to selling drugs and revealed the name of the second suspect, who worked as a driver. On raiding the second suspect’s home, police discovered 150 grams of heroin in his bedroom. Later, both suspects identified the third suspect, who divided up the drugs to be sold in Kuwait.

The third suspect worked as a farmer, and after searching his bedroom police found the remaining drugs. Officials said the total amount of drugs found in the possession of the three suspects was 400 grams of heroin, 1000 pills, and 50 grams of miscellaneous drugs. The three of suspects reportedly confessed that they were selling drugs to yet another drug dealer, who police have not yet identified. The three suspects and drugs were sent to concerned authorities.
